A large persimmon Japanese placemat woven from natural hemp in the traditional kaya weave, sized to hold a dinner plate, bowl and cutlery for everyday main meals.
Made by Ban Inoue in Japan, it uses kaya, the light, open weave traditionally used for Japanese mosquito nets. The warm, earthy persimmon tone brings a gentle glow to the table, and is lovely with white porcelain and timber.
Prefer something smaller? See the Small Persimmon Kaya Placemat. Pairs well with our Persimmon Kaya Coaster. Also available as the Large Charcoal Kaya Placemat.
