Kyoto is famous for the production of Buddhist prayer beads (Juzu, Nenju), these bracelets are handmade following this long tradition.
Each bracelet is handmade from Kitayama Sugi Cedar wood beads, and strung onto silk elastic cord.
Kitayama cedar has been produced since the Muromachi period – having a 600 year history. It is sourced from the famous cedar mountains of Kyoto known as Kitayama, within the Kita ward of Kyoto. This straight grained, fragrant wood of the Kyoto Kitayama Sugi has long been prized in Japanese culture.

Measurements: Head bead: 11mm / Main beads: 8mm
Care: Remove before showering and going to bed. The material is sensitive to chemicals and excessive sweat. We recommend taking it off when doing sports and cleaning. Wipe with a soft fabric.
