These rectangle plates are characterised by their minimal shape with upturned corners, textured clay body, and a traditional kohiki glaze which has an off-white greyish hue, and occasional slightly pink patches. This shape is ideal to use to sushi, grilled fish, Japanese sweets, and various appetizers.
Marumitsu Poterie was established in 1950, and is based in Seto, Japan. Each collection is designed with a French flair to Japanese cookware and tableware. Functionality is always the heart of the design, how each piece is used and how food is plated is always considered when they are designed. Seto is home to kilns with the longest production history in Japan along with local potters that bring a high-quality artisanal touch to the collection.

Care: Microwave safe. Not dishwasher safe, not oven safe. Avoid leaving food sititng on the plate for prolonged periods, and wash with hot soapy water and a soft sponge directly after use. Dry thoroughly before storing away.
