Black Kokutan Ebony Wood Bracelet.
Kyoto is famous for the production of Buddhist prayer beads (Juzu, Nenju), these bracelets are handmade following this long tradition.
Each bracelet is handmade from ebony wood, and strung onto silk elastic cord.
Ebony is a dense black / brown hardwood, most commonly yielded by several different species in the genus Diospyros, which also contains the persimmons. Ebony is dense enough to sink in water. It is finely-textured and has a very smooth finish when polished, making it valuable as an ornamental wood.
Also available in a 8mm size.

Material: Coated kokutan (ebony) wood, Silk elastic cord
Wrist size: approximately 17cm
Measurements: Head bead: 11mm / Main beads: 10mm / Two Small beads: 7mm
Care: Remove before showering and going to bed. The material is sensitive to chemicals and excessive sweat. We recommend taking it off when doing sports and cleaning. Wipe with a soft fabric.
