Product Description
Brew traditional Japanese tea with the Bizen Ware Teapot. This elegant pottery is crafted using historical bizen ware techniques, providing a smooth, unglazed, safe drinking experience. Its well-designed, clean-lined shape fits beautifully in any kitchen. Enjoy a cup of tea in classic style.
A ceramic filter is built into the interior of the pot, carefully filtering out tea leaf particles. A delicate spout ensures a stable pour – making tea preparation pleasurable.
The exterior and interior of the ceramic has a smooth tactile finish due to it being wood fired and left unglazed – honouring the clays natural beauty.
Bizen ware or Bizen-yaki (備前焼) is a type of Japanese pottery traditionally from Bizen province, presently a part of Okayama prefecture.
Bizen is characterized by significant hardness due to high temperature kiln firing. Common earthen-like, reddish-brown colours appear due to the absence of glaze and organic markings resulting from the wood firing process.
