A Takazawa Candle gift set with two medium Tohaku candles and a medium Koma cast iron candle stand, packaged together in a paulownia wood box, ready to give to someone special.
Takazawa Candle was established in 1892 and is one of the oldest candle makers in Japan, using techniques that haven't changed since the 16th century. Tohaku candles are handmade from Japanese haze wax, cultivated from the fruit of trees grown in Chikugo, Fukuoka Prefecture, and burn with a tall, bright flame thanks to a wick of dried reed wrapped around washi paper. Each comes in a soft natural colour such as off-white, muted grey or muted ochre.
