Each cup is shaped from a textured red earthenware clay with an angled, faceted exterior, then dipped in a traditional Japanese off-white kohiki glaze, so the warm clay shows through at the edges. Founded in 1950 in Seto, home to some of Japan's longest-running kilns, Marumitsu designs each collection with a French flair, always considering how a piece will be used.
