A Japanese sake gift set curated by Mujo Store, bringing together everything you need to enjoy sake with a friend: a Shigaraki sake bottle and two cups, packaged in a smoked bamboo lidded basket that's perfect for gift giving and storage.
The bottle and cups are by Hechimon, the ceramics of third-generation Shigaraki-yaki maker Marui Seito, in simple, elegant forms with a brown copper finish; caramel and brown tones appear through the kiln firing. Shigaraki, in Koka City, Shiga Prefecture, is one of Japan's six old kilns, with a history said to stretch back 1260 years. As each piece is handcrafted, shape, size and glaze colour will differ slightly. The basket is handwoven in Laos from thin strips of smoked bamboo for Mujo's permanent collection.

Hechimon is a collection of Japanese ceramics by a third-generation Shigaraki-yaki maker, Marui Seito. This name translates as “strange things” or “unusual things”. The ceramic collection embraces varying expressions from the vessels themselves. Like holding their own personalities due to materials used, kiln firings, and the craftsman hand. All of these processes and relationships slightly shift each piece – no two pieces will be identical in nature.
