Product Description

We've put together a small collection of exclusive Japanese Incense gift sets. This gift set brings together everything you need to engage in the ritual of incense. Spoil someone special, or yourself today.

Each gift set includes:

- x1 Shigaraki Ceramic Dish - Kohiki

- x1 Kousaido Shizuka Incense Cones

- x1 Pine Box - Small

Shigaraki is located in Koka City, Shiga Prefecture, and is recognised as playing a significant part in the long history of Japanese ceramics. It is included as one of Japan's six old kilns – being said to have a history of 1260 years. In 1976 Shigaraki-yaki (Shigaraki ware) was designated as a traditional craft in Japan.

Hechimon is a collection of Japanese ceramics by a third-generation Shigaraki-yaki maker, Marui Seito. This handcrafted Japanese dish is the perfect size as a base to the shizuka incense cones. A petite kohiki glazed dish with a a two tone top and bottom. As every dish is handcrafted, each is unique and will differ slightly from piece to piece.

The shizuka incense cones are a soothing and calming scent inspired by a fresh green meadow. A scent containing cedar wood, oakmoss, musk, etc. Comes packaged in a textured Japanese paper package, making it the ideal gift for someone special.

This lightweight box is made from thin shavings of pine wood. Similar to the Kyougi wood food wraps, these thin sheets are traditionally used to wrap around food. Instead of a flat sheet, they have been bent and cut to hold the shape of a small box.

A perfect little box to hold and store the ceramic dish and incense cones for a special gift set.

About: Hechimon

Hechimon is a collection of Japanese ceramics by a third-generation Shigaraki-yaki maker, Marui Seito. This name translates as “strange things” or “unusual things”. The ceramic collection embraces varying expressions from the vessels themselves. Like holding their own personalities due to materials used, kiln firings, and the craftsman hand. All of these processes and relationships slightly shift each piece – no two pieces will be identical in nature.
