Product Description

The coron ovenware bowl with lid is handcrafted in a minimal design with matte finish. Its lid can also be used as a small plate, and this bowl has multiple uses such as serving side dishes, as a bowl, for storing rice, and for cooking in the oven. It can be used to cook a variety of dishes, such as gratin, roasted meats and vegetables, crumbles, etc.

Shinkogama is based in Gifu Prefecture and focuses on handcrafting functional and well designed ceramics with skills that have been passed down over the generations.

Please note the glaze on these ovenware pieces may vary as they are handmade. Differences range from brownish grey, to lighter grey, with fluid glaze marks, uneven colouring, and shallow pinholes – each is truly unique.
