A Japanese wooden drop lid (otoshibuta) made from burnished cedar wood, an essential for Japanese cooking. It sits directly on the food as it simmers, gently pressing down and allowing even heat distribution.

Oyanagi's drop lids come in spruce and burnished cedar, each in 16 cm, 18 cm and 20 cm, so you can choose the size that suits your pot. The 16 cm size is ideal for smaller pans.

Also available in spruce. Looking for something larger? See the 18cm and 20cm Burnished Cedar Drop Lids. Pairs well with our Copper Oyakodon Pan (sold separately).
