Product Description

These plates are characterised by a textured clay, matte finish, and wide rim. This medium size is ideal for breakfast and lunch plates.

Le temps means time in French. This series is inspired by efforts to take part in the precious moments of daily life. Each piece is handcrafted by Japanese potters with the beautiful tactility of textured white clay and glaze adding warmth to the simple design. Marumitsu Poterie hopes Le temps will become part of the precious moments of your daily life.

Also available in ecru, and a small size.

Marumitsu Poterie was established in 1950, and is based in Seto, Aichi, Japan. All of their pieces are created embracing both traditional and modern ceramic techniques, and a diverse range of natural materials. Their collection of tableware and donabes are made from natural clay excavated from the Japanese mountains and shaped by human hands. It is this warmth of the human hand, and connection to nature that is integral to Marumitsu Poterie’s philosophy.
