Small black Folklore Japanese ceramic angled bowl by Marumitsu Poterie

Black Folklore Angled Bowl - Small

Marumitsu Poterie
$69.00
9 left

A small black Japanese ceramic bowl with sharply flared sides, handmade in Seto and hand-brushed with circular strokes. Holding around 520ml, it suits breakfast bowls, small soups and side dishes.

Part of Marumitsu Poterie's Folklore collection, which draws on traditional Japanese pottery with a modern twist. Each bowl is brushed by hand, so the glaze shifts from copper brown through charcoal to black and no two are quite the same. Marumitsu was founded in 1950 in Seto, one of Japan's oldest pottery centres, and designs every piece around how food is served and plated.

Looking for something larger? See the Large Black Folklore Angled Bowl. Pairs well with our Medium Black Folklore Plate and Black Folklore Straight Bowl. For tea or sake, add the Folklore Cup – Black.
