Nippon Kodo Kayuragi mikan orange incense set

Kayuragi Mikan Orange Incense Set

Nippon Kodo

7 left

A Nippon Kodo Kayuragi incense set in Mikan Orange, with the delicious fragrance of mikan oranges bathed in radiant sunshine. Each set comes in a paulownia wood box with a petite ceramic incense holder, in packaging inspired by kimono fabric, smooth in texture and dramatic in colour.

Kayuragi brings together fragrance (ka) and slowly wafting scented smoke (yuragi): as the incense burns, both the aroma and the sight of the drifting smoke bring a feeling of calm and relaxation. Nippon Kodo's incense tradition began in 1575 and can be traced back to Jyuemon Takai, better known as Koju, the principal provider of rare and exquisite aromas to the Emperor of Japan and his court.

Also available in Aloeswood, Sandalwood, Japanese Cypress and Ginger.

Nippon Kodo

Nippon Kodo's devotion to making fine Japanese Incense follows a long and honoured tradition that started in 1575. This spans over 400 years ago, and can be traced back to Jyuemon Takai, better known as Koju. He was a skilled artisan in the art and the principal provider of precious rare and exquisite aromas to the Emperor of Japan and his court. Many of those pleasing and enduring high-quality Japanese Incense fragrances, which the company continues to produce to this day, are based on the original formulas created by Koju and later by Yujiro Kito.
