This essential oil series is designed to represent the beauty of Japanese nature and culture.

Miyabi: A deep, rich, and graceful scent handed down through the generations. A special blend of unique essential oils including:  Cedarwood, Frankincense, Clary sage, Palmarosa, Tuberose, etc.

The light stoneware diffuser has been made with handbuilding processes, these ancient techniques have been used for many of thousands of years. This approach to making pottery allows it to be created without pottery wheels, using only the makers hands and simple tools. I gravitate towards this way of making as it shows evidence of the human hand – the human being behind the work.

Each diffuser takes time to form by hand, then allowing time to dry for a period of 2-4 weeks before the kiln firing process. The inside of the dish is brushed in clay slip for easy cleaning. When turned upside down the diffuser transforms into a sculpture.
