Product Description
Kyougi are thin boards of coniferous wood that have been used in Japan since the Yamato Period (250-710). They were traditionally used for writing sutras, preserving fish and meat, and wrapping food, such as rice balls. The wood used has natural absorbency and antibacterial properties, as well as breathability – helping food retain its moisture.
These wraps are the perfect alternative to plastic food wraps.
We also offer pine strings, which can be purchased separately if you require additional strings.
