Kukan Chuzo
Kukan Chuzo, a brand and cast iron workshop founded in 2009 by Japanese craftsman Hisao Iwashimizu, proposes ironware that pursues the Japanese Aesthetic Sense of “Yo-no-bi" – Beauty of Everyday Things. Hisao's workship is nestled within the Mizusawa area of Iwate Prefecture – an area renowned for Nambu ironware. He comes from an ironware family, and creates pieces that are elegantly understated and minimalist in form.
