Incense Gift Set
I've put together a small range of exclusive gift sets. This gift set brings together everything you need to engage in the ritual of incense. Save while you spoil someone special (or yourself!).
Censer ash is used to support incense sticks. The first step is to loosely fill the vessel with censer ash. Next you can choose to stir the ash with chopsticks in a clockwise direction, fluffing the ash and supporting the movement of oxygen to aid in the burning. Simply place into the ash the takeka incense sticks.
The Takeka Incense is a refreshing and woody scent inspired by the stillness and freshness of a Japanese bamboo grove. A scent containing sandalwood, lily of the valley, cyclamen, bergamot, etc.
The Stoneware Footed Bowl has been made with the hand-building process of coiling, this ancient techniques has been used for many of thousands of years. This approach to making pottery allows it to be created without pottery wheels, using only the makers hands and simple tools. I gravitate towards this way of making as it shows evidence of the human hand – the human being behind the work.
